Christy (Nones) McKenzie, a certified Anusara® yoga teacher, has been studying and practicing yoga since 1988 and teaching since 2000. A classically trained Homeopath and long-time dancer, she is passionate about the healing and therapeutic aspects of the Anusara yoga method. With an extensive background in spiritual/religious studies and a B.A. in comparative religions from Boston University, she gains profound inspiration from the life-affirming, Tantric philosophy of Anusara yoga and offers its elegant wisdom in delightfully practical ways. Based in Miami Beach, she offers private sessions, classes, trainings and workshops, locally and internationally. She has over 2000 hours of direct studies and intensive apprenticing with John Friend, founder of Anusara yoga, and has been blessed to study with other great master teachers. Known as a teachers’ teacher, she has presented at Yoga Journal conferences, International Yoga conferences and Wanderlust festivals. Christy infuses her upbeat and flowing classes with poetry, precision and playfulness, encouraging students to explore the depths of their own strength, beauty and potential.
